Historic“A monastery among olive trees in Pollença”
Son Brull is a former 18th-century Jesuit monastery transformed into a spa hotel in northern Mallorca. Its vegetable garden supplies the restaurant with km0 products, its spa uses olive oil from the estate, and the landscape of mountains and olive trees offers the most authentic Mallorca.

Jesuit History
Own vegetable garden
The history of Son Brull dates back to the 12th century when it was built as an Arab farmhouse. In 1686, the building was acquired by the Jesuit order and transformed into a monastery, where the resident monks worked the land providing food and shelter. For centuries, the Jesuits cultivated olive groves, vineyards and orchards on the 32 hectares of the property. In 2003, the Suau family acquired the property and undertook a careful transformation into a luxury boutique hotel, balancing historical heritage with progressive design, slow food philosophy and contemporary hospitality. The old stone olive mill and original arches were preserved as a testament to the rich heritage of the site.

The architectural transformation respected the 12th-century walls, original arches and beamed ceilings, merging them with a minimalist aesthetic designed by Barcelona-based studio Forteza + Aparicio. The interiors are characterized by an earthy sophistication, with natural oak, rusted iron and black-stained concrete reflecting the natural textures of the Mallorcan landscape. The beautiful original stone olive mill and vaulted spaces evoke the monastic atmosphere. The 27 rooms and suites feature silk sheets, king-size beds, original art and Bang & Olufsen technology. The four villas are mini-masterpieces carved into the earth with minimal environmental footprint, each with two en-suite bedrooms, spacious living room, dining room, private garden and pool.
