The Palace of Iriarte has been linked for centuries to the history of Bidania, being the first building of the town, dated before 1600. The Lizasoain owners kept the palace from the mid-twentieth century until 1997, when it was sold to the Muñoa family, with historical roots in the town. Between 1997 and 2008, the palace was used as a private estate. The complete restoration was carried out in 2009, transforming it into the luxury hotel it is today, respecting the traditional Basque architecture.

The neoclassical style building has a rectangular floor plan with a hipped roof. The walls are made of masonry with ashlar masonry in the corners and in the recesses of the openings. The west, north and east facades repeat the same model, with a plate molding between the ground and first floors, and numerous openings with ashlar masonry trim symmetrically distributed over three floors. The north façade has a linteled access to the second floor by means of a bridge with a semicircular arch. The main south façade has a porch with three semicircular voussoir arches. A beautiful noble coat of arms crowns the top floor. The interior decoration combines stone, glass and wrought iron with antique furniture.
