SHA Wellness Clinic

SHA Wellness Clinic was founded in 2009 by Alfredo Bataller Parietti, who chose this Costa Blanca enclave after years of vacationing in the area. His vision was to create an integrative health center combining the best of Eastern and Western philosophies to promote a balanced lifestyle. The macrobiotic diet, the pillar of the SHA method, sits at the heart of the center's philosophy. Since then, SHA has led health optimization and longevity for nearly two decades, receiving close to one hundred international awards and attracting celebrities, elite athletes and executives from around the world seeking transformation.

SHA is the most recent creation of prestigious Uruguayan architect Carlos Gilardi and European designer Elvira Blanco Montenegro. The 27,000 m² complex consists of five architecturally striking structures, interconnected by bridges, rising seven stories embedded in the Sierra Helada hillside. White dominates every space, inspired by the uncluttered aesthetics of nearby Altea or the luminous villages of the Cycladic islands. The complex houses 93 suites, 11 residences, a 995 m² villa, extensive gardens, outdoor and heated pools, and an 8,000 m² wellness clinic with hydrotherapy circuit and 90 treatment rooms.

SHA rises 350 meters above sea level, facing the Mediterranean and adjacent to Sierra Helada Natural Park. The setting combines sea and mountain in a privileged Costa Blanca microclimate. The picturesque village of Altea, with its old quarter of cobblestone alleys and whitewashed houses, is just minutes away.
