The farmhouse was once the heart of a rural community, the center of agricultural life in this fertile region of Catalonia. Relais & Châteaux Mas de Torrent was established in this 18th century Catalan farmhouse some 25 years ago. The property has been respectfully renovated and expanded while retaining its distinctive character, resonating with the history and culture of this remarkable region.

The design is a tribute to traditional Catalan architecture, with stone walls, exposed wooden beams and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are distributed between the original farmhouse and the garden area: 10 Masia Suites in the main building, 20 Garden Suites with private terraces, and 7 Pool Suites with dressing room, sitting area and private pool. The Nature Suite is an independent eco-sustainable suite on the grounds, while The Residence Suite is a 145 m² property with living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, garden with porch, private heated 8 x 4 m swimming pool and private garage.

Mas de Torrent is located 100 km from Barcelona, surrounded by medieval villages and the beaches of the Costa Brava. Its strategic location in the countryside makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the picturesque medieval villages of the Empordà such as Pals and Peratallada, and the splendid beaches of the Costa Brava. The Dalí Theater-Museum in Figueres and the artist's house in Portlligat are within walking distance.
