Unique Gothic Quarter location
Fusion of history and contemporaneity
Hotel Neri occupies two historic buildings in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, in what was the old Jewish quarter of Barcelona. One of them is a magnificent 12th-century medieval palace where the ancient courtyard has been revealed and the original wall sgraffito, considered the most important in the city, has been discovered. The hotel preserves its impressive facade toward Plaça de Sant Felip Neri, as well as a 17th-century stone wall separating the bar-lounge area from the restaurant. Beneath the hotel, a Roman site with Phoenician ceramics was discovered, a fundamental part of the place's history. The building holds Special Monument status for its heritage value.

The comprehensive interior design, conceived by Virginia Figueras and Franco Corada, establishes a dialogue with the historical legacy through a contemporary and warm perspective. The rooms fuse Baroque architecture with avant-garde design through canopy beds, Murano glass lamps and deep marble bathtubs framed by 4-meter stone ceilings. The room and common area design is playful and luminous with modern art and furniture, while the historic library maintains a more rustic character. The preservation of the ancient medieval palace courtyard and the original facade sgraffito demonstrate the commitment to heritage.
