Hospes Palau de la Mar was created from two 19th century buildings by architect Javier Domínguez Rodrigo. The two 19th century palatial buildings have been stitched together and transformed into Valencia's first five-star luxury boutique hotel by the national Hospes group. The hotel officially opened its doors to guests after the careful renovation of two magnificent 19th century palaces, marking a significant leap towards the revitalization of the area. Located in València's vibrant L'Eixample district, it is a stunning example of historic architecture beautifully transformed into a luxury boutique hotel. Originally built during the 19th century, this mansion combines the charm of its historic past with the comforts of modern amenities. After the careful renovation of a 19th century listed mansion, this is now one of the most elegant hotels in Valencia. It is essentially a design hotel, with much use of white stone, natural light, contemporary furniture and modern art, yet many of the building's original features have been cleverly preserved, such as the imposing entrance doors and elegant staircase. A recent renovation process has been inspired by the rich tradition of Valencian silk, a conceptual proposal designed by Tomás Alía and developed by Estudio Caramba, creating exclusive spaces where design, history and sophistication merge seamlessly. The renovation has reinterpreted the patterns and lightness of silk, creating rooms that invite an enveloping and luxurious atmosphere. The central lattice has become a distinctive element that elegantly organizes the space, while noble materials and delicate textures reinforce the essence of this 19th century palace.
