El gran hotel de Madrid, reinventado para el siglo XXI
Historic“The soul of Seville in the neighborhood of Santa Cruz”
Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza is a labyrinth of courtyards, tiles and fountains that connects several 18th century manor houses in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighborhood. Its terraces offer intimate views of the Giralda while the scent of orange blossom invades every corner.

The building was a neighbors' courtyard in the 18th century, a type of collective housing characteristic of Seville where several families shared a central courtyard with a fountain. This enclave of typical Sevillian architecture has been transformed by Hospes into an oasis of tranquility and modern comfort. Restorers, painters and muralists participated in the renovation, giving birth to a hotel that shows the roots of the local culture and boasts its most traditional materials. Cidon and its designer Erico Navazo executed the project based on the existing architecture, creating a space where different disciplines coexist.

The building is a wonderful marriage of the best elements of Arab and European design. Authentic Andalusian materials and architectural styles are seen throughout the building: whitewashed walls with ochre and red accents, terracotta floors, local stone, clay and slate. The terracotta, white and ochre exterior is classic Andalusian, while the interior is a cool contemporary world with sleek stone floors and marble bathrooms. Rustic cobblestone courtyards with overhanging greenery and orange trees are the heart of the hotel. Designer Erico Navazo based the renovation on the predominant blue color throughout the courtyards.
Andalucía
The hotel is located in the heart of Seville, in the Santa Cruz district, the old Jewish quarter. The Cathedral of Seville with the Giralda is a 15-minute walk away. The Alcazar, a World Heritage Mudejar palace, is one kilometer away. The Metropol Parasol, the largest wooden structure in the world, is nearby. The neighborhood's labyrinthine streets offer tablaos flamencos, tapas bars and craft stores. During Holy Week, processions pass by the hotel.
