Best resort in Spain
Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque is a unique work by Spanish architect Andrés Piñeiro, who recreated the architecture of a 19th-century Canarian colonial village. The architects created an intelligent blend of contemporary comfort within a fascinating complex of traditional Canarian architecture that resembles a large 19th-century old village. The hotel consists of 20 traditional Canarian-style buildings surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Las Casas Ducales replicate a colonial estate on the hotel grounds, with architectural inspiration taken from Palacete Martí Dehesa and Casa Maffiotto.

The resort's coral pink buildings, set across 100,000 square meters, resemble an elegant Spanish village. These colonial-inspired buildings reflect the 19th-century architecture of the Canary Islands. A doorman in traditional Canarian costume will welcome you upon entering. Interior decoration includes abundant lush green plants, terracotta tiles, wicker and wrought iron furniture. The Villas, surrounded by exotic tropical gardens, are a small idyllic private retreat designed by prestigious interior designer Pascua Ortega, built in a classic and elegant style using volcanic stone, each with private pool and sunbathing terrace.
